BeechBand user guide
Getting Started: Original BeechBand user guide.
Welcome to the BeechBand Community!
The BeechBand was born from our founder, Carl’s, personal experience of losing his speech through Parkinson’s. As more people have tried it, the more we’re hearing that many symptoms are responding well to the device.
We know you probably can’t wait to try it, but please read through the instructions first to be sure you get the best out of it.

Charging your BeechBand
It’s important to fully charge your BeechBand before its first use.
You’ll need a USB-C cable (not supplied).
-
Ensure the BeechBand is switched off and remove from your wrist
-
Plug your USB-C charging cable into the charging port on the side of your BeechBand
-
Plug your charging cable into the power source and leave to charge
-
After 45 minutes, remove the cable and your BeechBand is ready to use
How to wear your BeechBand
-
The BeechBand is worn just like a watch
-
It can go on either wrist, but we recommend you try it first on the opposite wrist to the most affected side of your body (if applicable to your symptoms)
-
Adjust the strap so that it fits snugly, but not too tight
-
It should sit flat on your wrist without discomfort
Turning your BeechBand on and off
-
Make sure it’s comfortably on your wrist before you start (see above)
-
Press the ON/OFF button once
-
You’ll feel your BeechBand start to vibrate immediately in a pulsing rhythm which will continue until it is turned off (or the battery flattens)
-
Simply press the ON/OFF button once to turn it off
When’s best to wear your BeechBand?
This device is not to be worn continuously.
-
Choose a time when you have a quiet and calm environment
-
Try to coincide with performing an everyday task (that way you’ll start to forget it’s there)
-
To test the effects, try talking/walking/moving/reading/writing, depending on your specific symptoms
-
Be patient and don’t expect immediate results. We’ve heard that for some, the benefits build up over time
-
We recommend you wear the band for two hours at a time, but it can be used for up to 4 hours
WARNING!
How to stay safe with BeechBand

-
Clean your BeechBand with a dry cloth
-
Do not expose to temperatures above 40˚C or under -5˚C

-
Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture or damage the device or battery
-
Do not remove or attempt to remove the non-user-replaceable battery

Troubleshooting
Something not 100% right? Read on.
-
If the BeechBand isn’t turning on or the vibrations stop mid-use, it’s likely that the battery has run out. Please charge your device (see instructions above)
-
If your BeechBand vibrations change, for example to a continuous vibration instead of a pulse, it’s likely that the battery is about to run out. Please switch off and recharge (see instructions above)
-
If after charging your BeechBand still doesn’t turn on, please try an alternative USB-C charging cable and power source
